The book is finally out. Thanks to everyone who assisted me in this project. It took a bit longer than I hoped, but there were some factors out of my control.
I have some copies that I have been giving out to people I know and for promotional purposes. Those copies have maybe three very minor typos (I hope no more) that came about when the file was converted from LibreOffice to Word to PDF. Also, I’m not particularly happy with the quality of the index or how it is formatted. Thought about leaving it out, but some index is better than none. Trying to make it perfect would have caused even a greater delay and it wasn’t worth it in my judgment.
I wrote a first draft, then a second, then hired an editor who improved it more. I hope that people find it to be a quick and enjoyable read. I took out a lot of material from the first draft, like a detailed account of the Thaw trial and a more in-depth analysis of Beale’s book on Herbert Spencer, as I felt they were unnecessary. The Thaw case is covered in a million other sources. And the book Beale edited is available online if you want to read it.
The easiest place to buy a copy of my book right now is on Amazon. It is also available for Kindle.
If you would rather not give Jeff Bezos more money, you can buy it directly from the publisher at Lulu.com.
I expect to have signed copies at Back Creek Books on Main Street in Annapolis soon.
I also plan on setting up a way to buy signed copies online.
